What we offer.

Boiler service

Strip the boiler down, clean all the components, perform visual inspection, reassemble the boiler, check the gas rates, check the CO² ratio is within acceptable limits. This boiler service is in line with all Gas Safe and Corgi regulations.

Boiler repair

Ask you what problems you have been experiencing with your boiler, look at what is needed to carry out the boiler repair, dissasemble the boiler and remove faulty parts, clean all the components and check for damage, perform visual inspection, reassemble the boiler, check the gas rates, check the CO² ratio is within acceptable limits.

Full central heating installation

Position radiators depending on customer choice, route pipe-work through house discretely, site the boiler in a suitable location, commission the boiler in line with rules and regulations set out by Gas Safe.  Flush the system and treat with inhibitor.

New boiler installation

Central heating system power flush, touch up marks left by previous equipment, treat full system with a corrosion inhibitor.  Possible need to upgrade other parts of the system to accommodate the new equipment.

New gas fire installation

Survey the builders opening, assess the chimney for potential lining, seal with suitable terminal, route the gas pipe discretely, install gas fire, possibly install air vent  although most modern systems do not require this.

New water heater installation

Survey property to position heater, route pipe-work to the appliance, drill out flue hole, test and commission the equipment.

Under floor heating installation

Mainly for new builds although we can install in an existing property which would require full removal of all furnishings. Fit thermostats in room, a manifold in an accessible but discrete location.

Radiator replacement

Drain the system, install new equipment including valves, flush system and refill with corrosion inhibitor.

Fault-finding diagnostics for boiler breakdown repairs

For combination, conventional, non-condensing and condensing systems.  Through a process of elimination we will find what is preventing the system from working properly.  After the fault is diagnosed it is up to the customer whether CGS carries out the work or another fully trained engineer.

Updating system controls

Decide on specific control set, check compatibly and replace wiring if necessary.

Pipe-work repairs and alterations

Survey existing work to determine what and how much needs to be replaced, route work discretely.

Landlord's Gas Safety Records issued

Full visual inspection of pipe work, check all safety devices on appliances, check flues are working and in good order, check gas rates are within manufacturers' recommendations, test the supply for leaks and issue a certificate.

Power-flushing central heating systems

Full drain, power flush, replace with corrosion inhibitor.

Energy efficiency advice

Survey the existing system, make recommendations on the appliance and the control systems.
